System reporting currency, SMS setup, automatic birthday messages, and turning optional features on or off.
Under Settings → System Reporting Currency, choose the default currency used for church-wide financial reporting and conversions. Individual branches can override this with their own currency — see Setting a branch's reporting currency.
Under Settings → SMS API Settings, configure the SMS provider Steward uses to send messages — your API key, Sender ID, and retry limit. This powers automatic birthday messages and the Resend SMS action on a transaction (see Downloading a receipt).
If members report they aren't receiving SMS receipts or birthday messages, check this page first — an expired or incorrect API key is the most common cause.
Optional modules such as Ministries are turned on and off from Settings → Enable Features — the same screen shown as the last step of the onboarding wizard. Disabling a feature hides it from the sidebar without deleting any existing data; turning it back on restores access.
Steward can automatically send an SMS to members on their birthday, using the date of birth on their profile and the provider configured in SMS API Settings. This runs on its own schedule — there's no separate broadcast/compose screen to send bulk messages; see the Upcoming birthdays list to know who's coming up.
