Understanding branch hierarchy
Under Structure, Steward organises your church as a hierarchy of Levels and Branches — for example Region → District → Local Branch. The names of these levels are whatever you set during the onboarding wizard, and can be changed later from Structure → Levels.
This is a hierarchy for organising and reporting on your church, not a session-level branch switcher — every branch and its members are visible from the main dashboard depending on your role's permissions.
Adding a branch
Go to Structure → Branches and click Add New Branch. Give the branch a name, place it under the correct level in your hierarchy, and save.
Once a branch exists, you can assign members to it from each member's Church Affiliation section — see Adding a new member.
Editing and deleting a branch
From the Branches Management page, use Edit Branch to update its name, level, or reporting currency, and Delete Branch to remove one that's no longer in use.
Reassign or remove any members still attached to a branch before deleting it.
Setting a branch's reporting currency
Every branch has its own Reporting Currency field. If left unset, financial figures for that branch fall back to the church-wide System Reporting Currency. Set a branch-specific currency when a branch collects and reports in a different currency from the rest of the church.
Next, if your church organises members into ministries, departments or committees, see Ministries. Otherwise, jump to Financials.
